The West Vancouver Secondary Library Learning Commons serves the research and reading needs of our students and staff. The print collection includes over 4,000 young adult and adult novels, and an extensive collection of graphic novels. There are over 10,000 non-fiction titles to support research and pleasure reading. To supplement the library’s print collection, the library maintains a website with links to our online resources including encyclopedias, databases and ebooks. The library is a classroom, an independent and group work space, and a meeting space for students and staff.
A recent renovation has seen the creation of a large collaborative working space. This space can be arranged in cooperative groupings with tables, theatre style with chairs only, or left open for other arrangements. (See pictures below) In addition to the collaborative working space there is second classroom and working area, a computer lab, and spaces to read and relax in. Along with our library staff, student volunteers assist with library operations.
