Comparative Civilizations 12: Ancient Near East Voicethread
VoiceThread Instructions
Educate your classmates by contributing what you know to a VoiceThread on the topic of the Ancient Near East. Follow the link for your class to enter the project:

Signing In
To sign in, use only your assigned e-mail address and your password, which you will find in the third column of your information package.
Opening Your Voicethread
You should be in the "My Voice" tab.
Look for "Ms. Selzer's Podcast" under "Groups" on the left of the page. Click on it.
Adding A Photo
You should still be in the "My Voice" tab. You will see the first slide in the podcast you are going to contribute to. It is a picture of the Pyramids. Below it on the right you find a gear icon. Click on the icon..
To upload your picture to the slide show, click on Edit.
You can upload a picture from your computer or from "Media Sources." If you use a Media Source, try Flickr.
Enter your search query in the search box. Identify an image you want to upload. Click on it. It will be outlined in yellow. Check the licensing conditions by clicking on the small "i" below the picture. Then click on Import.
A red box will appear with the words "Added One Page." Your slide has been added.
Close the search box.
Adding Your Voice Over
You are now in the "Create" tab. Click on your image. On the left, click on "Comment." Your image will appear on the right. Below it, click on "Comment." You will have a choice of using a mic or typing a comment. In this case, you are required to create a voice over for the image, so you will click on the mic. Record your voice over. Click stop when you are finished.
Adding a Comment to Another Student's Slide
In the "My Voice" tab, locate Ancient Inventions Podcast.
Click on the image of the Podcast.

Add a Credit Line
Be sure to provide the title of the picture and state who the author is. Add any licensing information as well.
