Invertebrates in the News: Current Research Findings of the Obscure
1. Find an article (min 200 words) that reports scientific research on an obscure invertebrate Phylum, Genus or species that has made the news.
2. Conduct a site specific search using the Globe and Mail or New York Times newspaper, or a scientific magazine (Scientific American, Discover, Popular Science). You will need to find the URL of the publication first.

3. Evaluate the article by copying the following information from the article:
a) a sentence that describes what the scientists were trying to find out.
b) a sentence that describes what the scientists did find out (results/conclusion)
c) the full name and title (if given) of a person quoted in the article. *If no one is quoted, then choose a

d) words explaining this person's expertise or connection to the study.
