Socials 8: Renaissance Art Walk Station 4

For this station, you will visit the Metropolitan Museum and focus on their collection of Renaissance Art through a number of filters that allow you select the time and location the art was produced.  These filters are available through the Heilbrunn Timeline of Art History.  The link and setup are provided below.

1.  Go to this link: http://www.metmuseum.org/toah/works-of-art/

2. Set up the timeline so you can view the time and location you are interested in.  Here's how:

By time period: 1400-1600

By Geographical Region: Europe

3. Now the fun begins because you can look at subregions of Eurorpe.  You will focus on Italy by looking at the following:  Florence and Central Italy, Rome and Southern Italy, and Venice and Northern Italy.

4. Finally, select the image view and show all.

You are ready to begin your art walk of your own exhibition of Renaissance art in Italy

To upload the photo of the work, save it to your H-Drive first.  Then create a new slide by clicking on "Slide" at the top of the screen.  A pull down menu will appear.  Select "New."  Click on the slide.

Place your cursor in the slide and click.  Then click on Insert to pull in your photo.
